Dictionary-like String ordering in Scala

How can I define a function in scala, which takes inputs stringA and stringB (they're words, with a-Z, 0-9, and few special characters), and gives me whether or not stringA < stringB

Example

aa < ab
ab < cd

like in a dictionary
